What Viagra Is?

Viagra pills are blue in colour and shaped like diamonds. This gives them the name of blue pills. Some men even call Viagra magic blue pill due to its effectiveness. Some men fondly called this impotence treatment blue pill while some called it so because they were to shy to ask for Viagra. Blue pill became a sort of code name for Viagra.

Viagra blue pills are meant for men only. Women and children should not take this impotence treatment. Men with health issues such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and depression can also take Viagra if their doctor finds it suitable.

If you are older than 65 years of age or have serious liver or kidney problems, your doctor may start you on the lowest dose of Viagra

If you take protease inhibitors for the treatment of HIV, your doctor may prescribe 25mg dose and that too not more than once in 48 hours

If you have prostate problems or high blood pressure for which you take medicines called alpha blockers, your doctor may start you on a lower dose of Viagra
Do not take Viagra if you are currently using a nitrate drug for chest pain or heart problems

Diminished sexual desire or even loss of sexual desire is not the same thing as impotence. Impotence refers to the inability to have an erection and to use the penis for sexual activity when desire and opportunity are present.

Older men appear to be more affected by impotence than younger men. By the age of 60, about 20 percent of men are impotent. By 80, more than 70% of men have this problem.
This is not always the case since some men in their 80s continue to enjoy sex on a regular basis. Obviously, age is not the only factor in impotence. Therefore, the key to controlling the condition lies in correcting bad habits that may be present.

The effects of alcohol on sexual performance were neatly summed up by Shakespeare in this line in Macbeth: "It (drink) provokes the desire, but it takes away the performance." Indeed, moderate use of alcohol can make one feel sexy and its role as an aphrodisiac has been glamorized in many movies.
